First edition of the complete series comprising 17 issues. Each issue contains 44 pages and is illustrated with a bicolor lithograph by Marcolon, E. Tap, Charlereal and Georges Bergère. Some covers detached and occasional foxing. Left-wing journal in the continuity of le Grand guignol whose publication ended on February 22, 1922, le Guignol illustré is a semi-monthly satirical illustrated publication published exclusively under pseudonyms. It was created by Maurice Brivet and publishes articles on politico-economic scandals and moral affairs of the time. It is also an engaged journal which was at the origin of numerous campaigns led against banks and colonial companies notably. Joined with the first issue of le Guignol déchaîné from November 10, 1922. Very rare.
