Half raspberry shagreen bindings, somewhat worn, smooth spines lightly faded decorated with gilt double compartments enhanced with gilt decorative motifs, brown sheep title and volume labels, headcaps rubbed, joints showing traces of rubbing, marbled paper boards, a tear at head of first board of third volume, some corners with minor rubbing, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, contemporary bindings.
Copy with occasional foxing.
