Signed autograph inscription from the author on the half-title page "à son ami Michel Chevalier".
Contemporary binding in half midnight blue calf, smooth spine richly decorated with gilt and cold fillets as well as gilt foliate interlacing, gilt mention "bibliothèque de Michel Chevalier" at tail.
Some rubbing and foxing, otherwise a handsome copy.
