First edition, one of 20 numbered copies on Holland paper, the only deluxe copies.
Half caramel sheep binding, smooth spine decorated with rich gilt typographical motifs, navy shagreen title-label with a small lack, some light traces of rubbing to spine, double fillets on marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, unsigned contemporary binding but attributable to Lancelin.
Signed autograph inscription from Paul Gaulot to Madame Paul Ollendorff.
A full-margined copy handsomely bound.
