Half dark green morocco bindings with corners, spines with five raised bands decorated with double compartments and black fillets, gilt monograms of Gabriel du Tillet at spine tails, one joint very slightly cracked at head, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edges gilt, corners slightly bumped, one upper corner of second volume bumped, contemporary bindings signed Petit successeur de Simier.
Handsome copy despite some foxing, mainly at beginning and end of volumes.
