Signed autograph visiting card from painter Edouard Dubufe, official portraitist under the Second Empire. The painter seeks the opinion of a colleague to judge his portrait of Napoleon III, one of the very first after his accession to power. Acquired by the emperor in 1854, it is now preserved in the collections of the Musée d'Orsay.
