Textual reprint of Varennes' travel guide, but Du Verdier added an itinerary of French roads, towards the south, Brittany, Germany, Spain... departing from Paris. Besides this very useful addition, one also finds the value of foreign currencies, and more unexpectedly, a record of relics and treasures found at Saint-Denis. Of particular interest is the presence of a chapter on the rivers and waterways of France.
