Interesting collection comprising 63 pieces, mostly relating to the bull Unigenitus, along with occasional pieces: an Ode to the King of 1744, a Eulogy of Mignard to Le Brun, the Ceremony and Consecration of the Church of Saint-Sulpice, a mazarinade, Gacon’s Nouvelle satire contre les femme, medical writings such as the Abrégé de l'hopital des enfans-trouvés. The first volume has been extra-illustrated with a cartouche of Babel serving as a frontispiece, repeated in the second volume. Copy with unidentified arms (OHR, pl. 1177). Contemporary full mottled calf. Spine with raised bands, gilt decorated. Red morocco lettering-piece, green morocco volume number. Gilt-stamped arms on the covers. Two corners bumped. Rubbing overall, scratches to the boards. Losses to the leather at the headcaps. Headcap of vol. I and tailcap of vol. II fragile and worn. One leaf with a large loss supplied with early laid paper, p. 14 of Mandement de Monseigneur l'Archevêque de Lyon. Bookplate of E. J. Berruyer.
