Contemporary binding in half speckled sheep, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets and fleurons, paste-paper boards. Two small wormholes at the joints and some rubbing.
Some marginal foxing spots and minimal worming in lower margin without touching the text at end of volume.
Provenance: from the library of Pierre Louÿs with his bookplate in the form of a red stamp reproducing his signature on the half-title page. Ex-libris stamps "B. Grandmaison" on the title page.
