Contemporary full tanned sheep binding. Spine with five raised bands decorated with a blonde sheep title-label, gilt compartments and fleurons. Gilt roulette on the leading edges. Headcaps worn. Joints cracked along their entire length. Loss at foot of spine. Three corners slightly bumped.
Commentaries on the custom of Senlis (and the jurisdictions that depend on it: Beauvais, Compiègne, Pontoise, etc.), published for the first time in 1540; the present edition also groups together the commentaries of lawyer Jean-Marie Ricard, which first appeared in 1664, and those of Laurent Bouchel, published posthumously in 1631.
