Bradel binding in half green morocco with corners, smooth spine decorated with double gilt compartments enhanced with gilt typographical motifs in their centers and corners, date and place gilt at foot, gilt fillet frame on marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers preserved, corners slightly bumped, some rubbing, contemporary binding signed Carayon.
Our copy, as stipulated in the justification page, contains at the beginning of the volume the original watercolor by Alexandre Lunois which he signed, a duplicate state in black of each plate on China paper, the smoky proofs of all the wood engravings and a suite of all the stones and all the crossed-out woods.
