First edition, very rare, illustrated with a frontispiece and 27 portraits. The first of the author's studies on Provence, he would later publish L'Histoire des troubles de Provence in 1679, then Additions et illustrations sur les deux tomes de L'Histoire des troubles de Provence in 1680. One virtually never finds all the volumes bound uniformly, even just to bring together L'Histoire des troubles and the Additions although published by the same publisher a year apart.
