Half chocolate brown morocco binding with corners, spine with five raised bands decorated with double gilt compartments at the centers of which the crowned and gilt monogram of Clément de Ris is repeated five times, gilt date at foot, small traces of rubbing on joints, gilt fillet frame on marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, top edge gilt retaining deckled edges, upper corners slightly bumped, near-contemporary binding signed by Dupré.
Some light foxing affecting mainly some deckled edges of certain leaves.
Gift inscription and manuscript notation in pen by Clément de Ris at head of an endpaper...

Spine with minor restoration marks at head and foot, boards marginally shaded, some foxing affecting mainly the very first and last leaves.
