Half brown morocco binding with corners, spine with three raised bands decorated with gilt dots and adorned with brown morocco pieces depicting cannonballs cutting through the air and red morocco pieces representing the colors of two crossed flags, rubbing to the bands, gilt date at foot, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers and spine preserved, top edge gilt on deckled edges, corners slightly bumped, contemporary binding signed by Caulet, Toulouse bookbinder.
