The work contains the Liber spectaculorum, which gathers 33 epigrammatic pieces, offered to Titus during the inauguration of the Colosseum in 80; followed by the Epigrams numbering 1500 distributed over 15 books. The latter are often obscene, they cast a particular eye on all layers of Roman society and attack all sorts of characters.
