J.-H. Jeheber

Born in Leipzig (1866), Jean-Henri Jeheber settled in Geneva in 1890 and took over the Protestant Bookshop in 1892, trading as J.-H. Jeheber. The firm became the Librairie évangélique de Genève (1899), then Librairie générale et édition (1918). In 1925 he established Librairie et Édition J.-H. Jeheber S.A.; after his death in 1931, publishing continued, notably under Édition Jeheber in Annemasse (1930s–40s). The imprint issued religious literature, essays, regional and topical works (e.g., Henri Guilbeaux, Pour Romain Rolland, 1915).
