Reprint of the complete works given in 1776, established by Rigoley de Juvigny, illustrated with a portrait of the author by Aug. de Saint Aubin engraved by Billé. As very often, the eighth volume, comprising the Œuvres badines, is not included here.
Contemporary bindings in full tree calf. Smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets, dentelles and fleurons, as well as green morocco title and volume labels. Blind fillet on boards. All edges speckled.
Some rubbing, otherwise a handsome copy.
