Contemporary half brown morocco binding with corners, spine with five raised bands, marbled paper boards, endpapers and pastedowns of combed paper, original wrappers preserved, top edge gilt on deckled edges. Binding signed by Gruel.
Some paper losses, joints rubbed and a few small stains on spine.

Spine sunned with three lacks and two dampstains at head and foot, boards lightly soiled, handsome interior condition almost entirely free from foxing.

New collected edition with some parts in first edition, one of the rare copies on Holland paper, revised, corrected and better arranged, expanded with the noëls from Orléans, Blois, Bourges, Tours, Arthenay, Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire, Arpajon and Clamecy.

Some minor foxing without gravity affecting essentially the margins.
