Full black calf binding, smooth spine inlaid with gray stingray leather, friezes of gilt squares at head and foot of the spine, upper board decorated with a vertical listel with inlays of stingray leather, cork, snake skin, salmon scales, gilt title at foot of the first cover and frieze of gilt squares at head, repetition in miniature of the listel on the upper board at the foot of the second board, with title in gilt : "F.L. Schmied 1924", covers and spine preserved, gilt paper pastedowns, gray lambskin endpapers, gilt top edge, housed in a full black cardboard case lined with black calf, elegant Art Deco style binding signed by the Boichot workshop.
