    Precious autograph inscription signed by Gabriel-Joseph Gros to Henri Béraud: "... avec ma plus parfaite et entière amitié..." ["... with my most perfect and complete friendship..."]
    Some foxing on certain deckled edges.

    Bradel binding in indigo cloth-backed marbled boards, spine subtly faded, decorated with a gilt floral motif, gilt double rule at foot, brown morocco label, marbled paper-covered boards, original wrappers preserved; a binding typical of those found in Henri Béraud's personal library.
    Rare and valuable signed presentation inscription by Paul Lintier: "A Henri Béraud, à l'apôtre courageux et violent..."
