Full marbled morocco binding in imitation of a Renaissance binding, executed and signed by Apparuti (card inside the book). Spine with 3 raised bands decorated with blind tooled ornaments in mirror image, gilt fillets on the bands. Boards stamped with a complex central diamond-shaped tool; gilt then blind border and 4 small tools in the corners. On the first board, in the upper cartouche: L. Dolce; on the second board: H. Mondo; traces of ties. Scattered pale foxing.
