Modern half black sheep binding, smooth Jansenist spine. Title and date in gilt. Black, gold and brown paper boards. Uncut copy, full-margined. Scattered foxing. Good copy.

A very rare autograph inscription signed by Gérard de Nerval to Monsieur Ferdinand Langlé, the founder of the Pompes Funèbre in 1828, but also involved in literature, theatre and journalism under the pseudonyms of Ferdinand, Eusèbe and Charles Odry.
