Contemporary full blonde calf bindings, smooth spines richly decorated with dentelle, fillets and starred typographical motifs, boards framed with gilt roulettes, the front covers stamped at their center with the inscription "Hommage de l'amitié et de l'estime à la piété sincère", Greek-style roulettes framing the pastedowns and paste-paper endpapers, all edges gilt.
On the first volume, joint of the upper board cracked at head, that of the second board entirely split. Joint of the first board of the third and final volume also split along its entire length. Headcap of the second volume partially damaged. Some corners slightly bumped and bindings rubbed essentially at the level of the joints. White endpapers marginally soiled.
