Three bound volumes, complete collection of 52 issues from 1834 and 1835, as well as 51 issues from 1836, gathered under a new title page dated 1837.

Half-shagreen binding in fawn, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets and fleurons.
Each volume is illustrated with more than 600 wood-engraved figures, in black and white within the text.

Copy from the André Vasseur collection, bearing his bookplate in each volume, as well as a sheet of manuscript bibliographical notes pasted into the first volume.
Spine, headcaps and corners rubbed, small holes at foot of spine, scattered foxing and fold marks on some pages, otherwise good condition for this rare complete collection, abundantly illustrated.
Bearing the subtitle "Livre de tout le monde et de tous les pays", this encyclopedic review gathered articles corresponding to sections such as "Monuments de France", "Monuments étrangers", "Histoire", "Histoire naturelle", "Biographie", "Vues", "Sciences, Arts, Industrie", "Peinture, Gravure, Statuaire", "Religions, Moeurs et Usages", or "Géographie, Voyages.". It was published in weekly fascicles from 1834 to 1836, when publication very likely ceased, since the end of volume 3 bears the mention "Fin du troisième et dernier volume".
