The best edition of Diderot's works, complete with the Oeuvres inédites which contain the important first French edition of Neveu de Rameau (translated from the German edition, the original French manuscript not being found until 1891), and the volume of Mémoires Historiques et Philosophiques sur la vie et les ouvrages de Diderot by Naigeon, a volume most often lacking as it was suppressed by order of the Royal Court of Paris. Some plates, notably in the Lettre sur les aveugles and la Lettre sur les sourds et muets; a portrait of Diderot as frontispiece to the volume of Memoirs. Printed on strong laid paper.
