Constituting in 1942 under the aegis of Jean Moulin the Committee of Experts, future General Study Committee, he became in 1943, responsible for the illegal Commission of the Press and Information and was appointed by General de Gaulle, Delegate General of the French Committee of National Liberation (CFLN) following Jean Moulin. He becomes the leader of the illegal administration, coordinates the action of resistance organizations and prepares measures to facilitate the return to republican legality and avoid US tutelage.Raised to the rank of Minister of liberated territories in 1944, he coordinates the Parisian insurrection and presides at the Hotel Matignon, the first interim council secretaries general. On August 26, it scrolls along with the General on the Champs-Elysées, appoints the Companion of the Liberation, and then became one of the main players in the new government. Successively Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations advisory and NATO then vice president of the Council of State Alexander Parodi remains one of the most respected political figures of his time.Its key role in the Resistance and Liberation was honored in 1966 in the movie Is Paris Burning?
