First edition of this circular from the Prefect of the department of Charente addressed to the city mayors and deputy mayors: “I hasten to inform you, citizens, that the intention of the Government is that no marriage act be received between Whites and Negresses, nor between Negroes and Whites; you will please comply with this provision that the Grand Judge, Minister of Justice, transmitted to me by his letter of the 18th of this month, and acknowledge receipt of the present letter. G

Binding in red demi - basane, back with five nerves, with traces of friction adorned with nets and dots, marbled paper plates, guards and counterplates of paper with vats, blunt corners,.
Signed autograph signed by Denis Mamoz to a friend whose name is illegible: "To the friend, the zealous gymnast and the friend of the union."
Some small foxinges.
A list and other printed document of the union of the gymnastic societies of France have been sticking on the counterplates.

First edition printed in a small number of this offprint. Signed autograph inscription by the author. An angular tear with lack at the head of the front cover affecting the following four pages (including the autograph inscription) but without damage to the text, another tear with lack still without touching the text. Rare brochure in this condition.

First edition, one of 200 numbered copies on alfa paper, the only deluxe copies.
