Full aubergine morocco binding, spine faded with four raised bands and bearing slight scratches, gilt date at foot, gilt roulettes on endpapers, double gilt fillets on edges, frame of wide gilt dentelle and aubergine morocco fillet on endpapers, endpapers and pastedowns of mouse-colored moiré silk, covers and spine preserved, all edges gilt; slipcase edged with matching morocco and mouse-colored felt interior, elegant binding signed by R. Blaizot. Work illustrated with an original drypoint by R. Drouart as frontispiece.
