Full midnight blue morocco binding, spine with four raised bands, date gilt at tail, gilt roulettes on headcaps, framing of quadruple gilt fillets on brown morocco doublures enhanced with green almond mosaiqued morocco pieces forming rectangles and, at corners, blue, green almond and red mosaiqued morocco pieces embodying stylized floral motifs, painted silk endpapers representing a scene of Flemish life for the first: fishermen's wives waiting on the shore for the return of a fishing boat framed by rich decoration of stylized floral motifs; for the second: a tree-lined quay of a village on the riverbank in the foreground and, in the background, a windmill with its sails raised to the wind, following endpapers of marbled paper with moiré and gilt effect, covers and spine preserved, all edges gilt, points and fillets on edges, slipcase bordered with midnight blue morocco, mustard felt interior, boards of moiré effect paper, chemise in half midnight blue morocco with bands, boards of moiré effect paper, elegant mosaiqued binding of the period signed G. Levitzky.
First endpaper marginally and slightly frayed with small lacks not affecting the decoration.
