    Illustrated edition with 109 engravings including 8 etchings and one original lithograph by Jean Puy, one of 315 numbered copies on Arches vellum, the only issue after 30 on old Japan and 30 on Imperial Japan.
    Half-red shagreen binding with bands, smooth spine, gilt friezes at head and foot, vellum-style paper boards, marbled paper boards, endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine (spine in poor condition) preserved, slipcase with black shagreen borders, red cardboard boards.
    The front cover has three small tears.
    Handsome copy.
    Both binding boards are enhanced with two original black ink drawings by Jean Puy depicting scenes from the work.
