Full bronze calf binding, spine with four raised bands richly decorated with gilt fillets and dentelles and cold-stamped tools on the compartments, important cold-stamped plates composed of a rich frame of dentelles and fillets, four rosettes at corners, a diamond-shaped cartouche decorated with gilt arabesques and rosettes at center of boards, corners slightly bumped, gilt roll on leading edges and headcaps, gilt dentelles framing the pastedowns, some surface wear, all edges gilt, strictly contemporary binding, signed by Martin. Our copy is complete with the frontispiece and the facsimile of the signatures of Molière and his daughter.
