History of Calvinism in France, but considered as a heresy, and making an apology for the action of Louis XIV and the revocation of the Edict of Nantes enacted one year earlier, in 1685. The work tells the history of the movement in France under the different kings, from Henri II to Louis XIV, and the various policies and events of the kingdom. The author had already faced the wrath of Protestants in his first work, so he warns in the preface against the perfidy of their accusations. The history is very detailed and contains a wealth of information.
