Boualem SANSAL

Algerian writer, teacher, consultant, business leader, and senior official at the Algerian Ministry of Industry. He was dismissed in 2003 for his critical stance against the ruling power, particularly against the Arabization of education. Published his first novel (Le Serment des Barbares) in 1999. PhD in Physical Sciences from the University of Paris 7 in 1974. Grand Prix de la Francophonie 2013, Académie Française.
