Unique original photographic montage produced from a large photograph showing Jean-Pascal Lorriaux and Jaime Sabartés, on the right-hand margin an original stamp is glued on which there is a portrait of Sabartés by Pablo Picasso, in the lower margin there are other collages of printed paper forming the title “Sabartés welcoming recevant J-P Lorriaux - 45 années de vie avec Picasso” “Sabartés welcoming receiving J-P Lorriaux - 45 years of life with Picasso”.
Jean-Pascal Lorriaux was a passionate collector who had the idea of publishing a collection of lithographs presenting the hands of the great artists of his time. Thus Chagall, Picasso, Fautrier (of whom his was the assistant and close friend during the last years of his life), Foujita, Cocteau, Lurcat and Mathieu will visit his studio to engrave their hand on lithographic stone. Lorriaux will not have the time to finalise his project and only a few attempts will be carried out.
