Francis NORGELET

Autograph manuscript, 24 pages, final and complete version written by the author in a 48-page notebook which he offered to one of his friends.
Autograph inscription dated January 29, 1919 and signed by the author on the front cover as a gift to this friend. This collection was previously published by Rieder & Cie in 1918.
Included are press clippings as well as 4 autograph letters signed by the author and addressed to the same recipient, 2 of which were written while the dedicatee was in the trenches.
Handsome ensemble.

First edition, of which there were no deluxe copies.
Half marbled hazelnut sheep binding, spine slightly faded with five raised bands, scratches on the joints, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, contemporary binding.
Signed autograph inscription from J.M. Gros to Francis Norgelet.
Manuscript note by Francis Norgelet on the title page attributing authorship of this work to himself "... this book was written by Francis Norgelet on behalf of M. Gros, who only had to sign it."
