Half red shagreen binding, smooth spine decorated with quadruple gilt fillets, some light rubbing to spine, marbled paper boards, shaded endpapers and pastedowns, corners slightly bumped, speckled edges.
Handsome copy despite some light foxing.

First edition, one of the rare copies on Holland paper of which no mention is made.
Full red morocco binding, spine with five raised bands decorated with black fillets, gilt date at foot, gilt roulettes on headcaps, small black spots in margins of boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, gilt dentelle border on pastedowns, double gilt fillets on leading edges, all edges gilt, elegant unsigned binding.
