Contemporary full blonde calf binding with tree calf pattern, signed P. Leffèvre. Smooth spine decorated with 5 urn tools and roulettes. Blonde calf title label. Floral border frame doubled with a roulette. Interior roulette and on the edges. Gilt edges. Some rubbing. The tissue guards still present have caused some pale foxing. Spine slightly faded. Handsome copy.

Full brown morocco binding, spine with five raised bands set with black fillets, one joint slightly cracked at head, gilt roulettes on headcaps, frame of interlaced triple gilt fillets with decorative corners and gilt floral motifs at angles on full red morocco doublures, marbled endpapers, gilt edges, double gilt fillets on leading edges, superb near-contemporary binding by P.R. Raparlier.
Work illustrated with 6 plates including 1 frontispiece by Lefebvre.
Some foxing mainly at the beginning of the volume.
