En 39 il obtient son brevet de pilote de moto-ballon et d'observateur aéropostier. Instituteur à Communay en 1941 ; Professeur à Gap en 1942 ; Résistant ayant favorité la libération du département des Hautes-Alpes (Médaille de la Résistance 19 oct 1945) ; Adjoint au maire de Gap ; Critique d'Art à l'Humanité.
