New edition, the best and most complete published of this author, with the musical scores of the songs. It contains 5 engraved titles by De Sceve, a portrait of the author as frontispiece after Duflos and 5 figures by De Scève, all on strong paper. Some engravings are 1 cm shorter in the lower margin, as the volume has not been trimmed. 60 pages of engraved musical score, with the words of the songs and Christian poetry. A handsome, well-printed edition.
Contemporary full marbled and glazed calf binding. Decorated spine with raised bands. Red morocco title-label, black wax volume label. Red edges. A small lack to the lower joint at the head of volume I. Worming at the foot of volume II. 5 corners slightly bumped. Traces of rubbing. A very handsome set, decorative on perfectly fresh paper.
