Half caramel sheep binding, spine with two raised bands decorated with a central gilt fleuron, double gilt fillets at foot, minor traces of rubbing to spine without significance, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers preserved, top edge gilt, one lower corner slightly bumped, contemporary binding.
Inscribed by André Mabille de Poncheville to the poet Jean Ott: "... cette étude sur deux peintres qu'il ne peut manquer de connaître..." ["...this study on two painters whom he cannot fail to know..."]
