Contemporary full emerald shagreen binding, spine with four raised bands decorated with gilt and cold fillets and compartments, triple frame of gilt and cold fillets framing the boards, triple gilt fillet framing the watered silk pastedowns, gilt fillet on the leading edges, all edges gilt. Pastedowns and endpapers somewhat soiled, otherwise a handsome copy.
Our copy is expanded with a 13-leaf poetic manuscript in Henri Chevreau's hand bound at the head of the work.
