Jacques Laurent gives his address in Switzerland so that we can join him and recommends that we replace by "Jeanne" rather than "madame": "... " because I think she is maid. " The word before a surname appearing in a book soon published.
A name and a telephone number were written at the end of the letter, probably that of Jacques Laurent's correspondent.

Jacques Laurent, novelist and journalist associated with the literary movement of hussars, writes this letter so that Jean Le Marchand, with whom he worked in the magazine Combat during the Second World War, can discuss on his behalf with Editions Je Sers. Jacques Laurent published in 1950 Do not touch the ax in the Oedipus collection of these editions. This letter dates from the year when Jacques Laurent was elected to the French Academy.
