Charles de JONQUIERES

Two copies of the first edition presented together in a single wrapper: one on butcher’s paper, from the limited issue of sixty numbered copies printed for private distribution (hors commerce), unopened; the other on pure linen laid paper, from the limited issue of fifteen numbered copies.

This poem by Charles de Jonquières, written in 1944-1945, was published in 1959 as a token of gratitude to those who had supported him in founding the Union des intellectuels indépendants, an association established in 1950.
