Second edition. The first seems to have also appeared in Rome in 1653, but without the announced second part (in first edition) which bears its own title page, La difesa, by Ippolito Shiribandelo. Not found in French catalogs, present at the British library and at Oxford.
Contemporary full vellum binding. Smooth spine with black handwritten title. Numerous wormholes on the spine. The upper part of the book has lost one stitch (of the 3 present) and has become detached from the binding. Missing an endpaper and half-title to the first part as well as the first leaf of the author's stage directions on his play, which follows the presentation of the characters of the tragedy.
