Suiko FUKUDA
Fleurs à crête de coq (Célosie)
Unsōdō Gōshi Kaisha|Tokyo 1936|27 x 40 cm|une feuille
Original color print signed with the seal of the artist Suiko. In the left margin appears in Japanese the title, the year and apparently the address of the printing house. On the back of the mount we find the artist's seal, the place and publisher, the artist himself.
A sheet attached by 2 points of glue to a mount.
It was in 1936 (Showa 11) that Fukuda Suiko printed a series of 10 flower prints. The particular climate of the time, as Japan invaded China, led to the destruction of most of the collections, and only a few rare isolated original prints can now be found.
