Half orange morocco binding with corners, spine with four raised bands decorated with double gilt compartments, date gilt at foot, moiré-patterned paper boards, upper joint skillfully restored, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, gilt top edge, contemporary binding signed Durvand-Pinard.
A pleasant copy.
Illustrated with watercolours and coloured vignettes by Foujita.

Splendid portrait inscribed by Foujita on his birthday: "A Lolotte Rabinovitz / Avec mes amitiés / Je suis toujours / prêt à toi [sic] / à Yoshinoya New York / ma fête 27 nov 1930". "To Lolotte Rabinovitz / With my friendship / I am always / close to you / at Yoshinoya New York / my birthday 27 Nov 1930".

Binding in half brown morocco with colour recovery, spine richly decorated with gilt geometric motifs and a hexagonal cartouche containing gold-stamped cranes and a bouquet of roses in mosaic, gilt fillet on the boards, marbled endpapers, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt on the rough, contemporary binding.
Rare and beautiful copy, pleasantly set.

First edition on current paper, false mention of second edition.

Signed autograph of Marcel Sauvage to Miss Pollet enriched:
- a beautiful original drawing in Indian ink signed Foujita and representing a cat sitting,
- an original drawing in Indian ink signed Orfeo Tamburi and representing a bouquet of flowers in a vase.
