Bound in full soft brick-red cloth, smooth spine, small rubbing to upper headcap and one lower corner, some discoloration stains on boards, purple paper endpapers and pastedowns, contemporary binding.
Work illustrated with drawings by Forain and Caran d'Ache.

Half red shagreen binding, spine with five raised bands decorated with gilt floral motifs showing some rubbing, gilt initials at foot, marbled paper boards with some surface wear, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, original wrappers preserved.
