Half dark blue morocco bindings with corners, faded spines with four raised bands, marbled paper boards, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, covers and spines preserved, top edges gilt.
Each volume is complete, as stipulated in the justification page, with the suite of illustrations placed at the end.
Handsome set, despite the faded spines, complete in 11 volumes and with the suite of illustrations for each volume.

First edition, one of 650 numbered copies on white laid paper, the only deluxe copies after 50 Japan and 50 hors commerce.
