    Bound in full red morocco shagreen, spine with five raised bands set with gilt fillets decorated with double gilt compartments ornamented at their centers with gilt floral motifs, triple gilt fillet frame on boards, moiré-effect paper endpapers and pastedowns, gilt dentelle frame on pastedowns, covers and spine preserved, top edge gilt on deckled edges, binding signed Barth fils.
    Our copy contains the complete suite in black of the illustrations as stipulated in the justification page.
    Handsome copy attractively bound.

    The works are bound in threes in half navy-blue shagreen by Houades, the spines decorated with stars and crescent moons in palladium, upper covers preserved (some lower also retained), all edges gilt.
    All the works are illustrated with etchings, lithographs or woodcuts, each by a different artist from among the following : Alexeieff, Ahü, Dignimont, Baudier, Renefer, Drouart, Mainssieux, Suréda, Fouqueray, Serveau and Dethomas.
