The work has a thoroughly satirical and humorous design characteristic of the author, even though the text contains solid information on the practice of sports in Paris at the end of the 19th century, notably the new sports.
Publisher's periwinkle blue cloth binding with special decoration for the edition. Smooth spine decorated with a fleuron. Light soiling. Headcaps rubbed with small cuts. Corners slightly turned and rubbed. Paper very fresh except for some rare and pale foxing.
